GoodWAN, a Moscow-based company, has developed and implemented a modern system for monitoring teams' progress in sports tourism and orienteering competitions using Internet of Things technologies in collaboration with the Hermes Center for Children's and Youth Creativity Development.
The control system is a set of electronic marking stations for recording the completion of tourist routes and the performance of tasks that test tourist skills.
Participants receive an electronic tag and access to their personal account, where completed tasks, distance control points, and orientation and other tourist skills are recorded in real time using a personal smartphone.
For three years, the system has been successfully used to organize educational quests for the "Unknown District" project (implemented with the support of the Moscow City Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy based on the results of the Mayor's Grant Competition), the "Northern Karabin" tourism competition, the District Tourism Championship among educational organizations in the Northern Administrative District of Moscow, and the "Route is Built" city project.

Moscow's school tourism teams can apply to complete a route with electronic markers, conduct classes or competitions in orienteering, expeditionary tourism, and practice their tourism skills on the route.
